Aereogramme

Once merely an outlet for material that singer/guitarist Craig B. couldn't use in his other band, the late Ganger, Glasgow, Scotland's Aereogramme has since morphed into a full-on outfit. After releasing some singles on Chemikal Underground, Aereogramme inked a deal in the U.S. with Matador last year and released their debut, A Story in White. This band likes to mix it up, employing mopey acoustic ballads, odd time signatures and some good old-fashioned screaming for maximum results.

Tue., July 9, 9 p.m., $7, with Aim of Conrad, Transistor Transistor and Oh My God, The Khyber, 56 S. Second St., 215-238-5888.
